Cassa Health is owned and operated byScott Cassa. As a fitness trainer for over a decade, Scott has developed a model for fitness and wellness programming that can assist anyone in reaching and exceeding their health and fitness goals. Currently based out of Groton, MA, Scott is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the premiere certification in the industry. He has worked with; personal training, group fitness, student athletes, post rehab, and corporate wellness clients throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. As a result, a high percentage of his business is from repeat customers and referrals. Scott specializes in private personal training, group wellness, corrective exercise training, weight loss management, athletic strength and conditioning, and nutritional counseling.
As an avid runner, and family man, Scott understands the need for easy access to fitness and wellness options in our everyday lives.
Scott has competed as a top finisher in a multitude of running events including, various half and full marathons, and a five time competitor at the Mount Washington Race to the Summit.
MELISSA (Director of Development and Personal Trainer)
Melissa has always had a love for fitness teaching classes part-time on the side of her career starting at an early age. After 13 years in corporate america in marketing and business development roles, she finally decided to take the leap and turn her love for health & fitness into a full-time career.
Melissa graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2003 for Business Administration with a focus in marketing. In addition to being an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, she has previously held multiple fitness certifications such as AFAA Group Fitness and Kickboxing and has extensive experience teaching classes in various settings including kickboxing, bootcamp and strength and conditioning classes.
Melissa now resides in Westford with her husband, two children and dog and enjoys spending time with them. In addition, she is an avid runner having qualified for and run in the Boston Marathon twice among various other half and full marathons and Spartan Races. She loves being outdoors and keeping her family active and also has a love for traveling and cooking, Taking a holistic approach, she has a passion for health and fitness that she hopes to inspire her clients with to find their own path to wellness.
JENNIFER (Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor)
Jennifer is an AFPA , CPR certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. When she is not working as a full time Nutritionist she spends her time training and competing in activities such as sprint triathlons, half and full marathons. Jennifer has a passion for overall health and wellness and a love for fitness.
ANASTASIA (Yoga Instructor)
It was the sense of open curiosity that first brought Anastasia to the Baptiste Vinyasa School of Yoga in Cambridge, MA where she took her first yoga class in 1999.
Anastasia describes her yoga journey as a "marriage." Throughout the years Anastasia's union with yoga experienced all the phases of a typical marriage: from passion to realization; rebellion to cooperation; reunion to explosion, and has finally entered the completion phase.
Anastasia, a former mental health professional and a certified yoga instructor with Fluid Yoga School, draws a sense of completion, confidence and strength from her yoga practice. It also gives her the gift of a community of like-minded people. It is her ground of exploring new challenges. Through practice she opens herself up to a world of possibilities, becomes imbued with more confidence, looks at life with a lightness that comes from living yoga with authenticity and compassion. Anastasia is committed to bringing the flow of yoga with its balance and calmness to her students right where they are in their own journeys. Anastasia is passionate about shifting peoples' life experience for the better much like hers continues to shift with practice.
CATHY (Yoga Instructor)
Cathy Mandrioli, Registered Yoga Teacher. Cathy has practiced for 20+ years on her own, but took her practice to a much deeper level when she began to practice in a group setting. The energy generated in a structured yoga class can be incredibly invigorating
and inspiring. As she discovered the pleasures and benefits of a group practice, she decided to take it to the next step and become a teacher.
Cathy completed her 200 hour Teacher Training with Devashi: Steven Hartman and Megha: Nancy Buttenheim at The Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, MA.
She also completed David Magones' Prana Vayu 200 hour Teacher Training.
Prana Vayu is a vinyasa style of yoga that uses sequencing and meditation to guide the body into a deeper experience. Workshops and classes include David Magone, Rolf Gates, Natasha Rizopoulos, Rod Stryker, Doug Keller and Sudha Carolyn Lundeen.
Cathy especially enjoys sharing her love of yoga with new students and those using yoga as part of a whole body healing experience. Based on her personal experience of supplementing her treatment for a serious medical condition with asanas, she is also committed to helping others. Cathy is currently working on her 500 hour certificate. She enjoys teacher students of all levels including but not limited to beginners, seniors, handicapped, slow-flow vinyasa and power vinyasa.
Her workshops are used to relax the body using Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra.
MARYBETH (Yoga Instructor)
Marybeth Ritkouski was a classical ballet teacher for over 25 years. She was able to study, perform, and teach all over the country. Seeking something to compliment the demands of ballet, Marybeth found yoga, and began teacher training. She is now RYT200 certified, and looks forward to sharing the benefits of yoga with her classes!
Marybeth lives in Pepperell with her Jack Russell Terrier, Trip, and she also works as a Second Assistant Director for a film production company.
