WORKOUT OF THE WEEK: Thanksgiving Morning Burn
My best advice on Thanksgiving is to get out and be active, but knowing that many people eat way too much and give into the tryptophan coma, here's a workout you can start your day off to hopefully offset at least some of your meal! This workout will get your heart pumping and the weight training will keep you burning calories for hours to come after your workout. Push yourself a little harder and you'll be thanking me later!
The workout consists of tabata rounds with 45 seconds on, and 15 seconds off. Between EACH of the exercises below you will do a cardio exercise in between which means in the end you will do 8 rounds of cardio and 7 rounds of strength & conditioning for 15 minutes total. THEN, repeat the whole thing 2 more times for a total of 45 minutes. Again ... this won't be easy, but you'll be thanking me later! Enjoy!
1 - High Knees
2 - Squats with alternating knee raises
3 - High Knees
4 - Alternating lunges holding one weight overhead and press in between
5 - High Knees
6 - Push-ups with alternating knee drives
7 - High Knees
8 - Pull-ups
9- High Knees
10 - Tricep Dips
11 - High Knees
12 - Figure 8's
13 - High Knees
14 - Scissors (abs)
15 - High Knees
Round 2 - Repeat same as above but change the cardio to Burpees
Round 3 - Repeat same as above but change the cardio to Mountain Climbers
