RECIPE OF THE WEEK: Healthy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1/3 cup applesauce
1/3 cup water
3 egg whites
3-4 bananas mashed
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl mash the bananas and then add the applesauce, water and egg whites and mix well. Then add the flour, baking soda and baking powder, honey or maple syrup, salt and cinnamon and mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
