You Don't Need a New Year to Make a Change, All You Need is a MONDAY!

Today's Topic: Start your day off with a healthy breakfast!
There is nothing like starting your day off with a healthy, satisfying and nutritious breakfast.  It can set the tone for your whole day and therefore your whole week.  Eating breakfast itself has numerous benefits including:

  • boosting your metabolism
  • improves cognitive ability and increases your attention span
  • puts you in a better mood
  • keeps you from overeating or binging

When you eat a healthy breakfast with a good balance of protein, carbs and healthy fats and pack it full of nutrients that your body needs, you really set the tone for your day and get yourself off to a good start.  If you think about all of the nutrients that your body needs on a daily basis, and you start your day off by fulfilling or making a big dent in those amounts, you put yourself in a better position to eat well throughout the day.  You'll be ahead of the game, rather than trying to catch up all day long and you'll feel satisfied and accomplished.  And who doesn't like to start their Mondays off like that? 
Here are some great ideas for a healthy, nutritious and satisfying breakfast:


  • Berries, nonfat plain greek yogurt and homemade granola (oats, walnuts, almonds, maple syrup, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, cinnamon, and flaxseed)
  • Overnight Oats - here are some great ideas by Wholefully.com that you could try.  My favorite is the carrot cake overnight oats!
  • Smoothie Bowls - there are a ton of recipes out there but my kids have fully approved this one!
  • Open-face Kale, Sundried Tomato Egg Sandwich ... tell me this doesn't look good???

Whole grain toast, sundried tomato spread, sauteed kale with

a fried egg cooked in coconut oil and tumeric

It is dreams of everybody to spend the healthy lifestyle. Different things come in this lifestyle, means fitness, fresh mind, and good food. You should to take the proper diet and do exercise in the regular base. Food is all about the healthy lifestyle.
