Partner Motivation Survey Results


In last month's survey we asked about how much you and your partner motivate each other to workout and eat healthy.  About half of you said that you and your partner run or take classes together sometimes and the other half said you don't at all. Most of you said that you and your partner sometimes motivate each other to work out. When it comes to healthy eating, most of you said that your partner poses a negative influence on you.  

Although we certainly understand how it is easy to get into bad habits when you have someone doing it with you, it is also very motivating and reassuring to have someone pushing you when you need it most and catching you when you fall.

Let's keep it simple today ... if you are one of those people who want to get back in shape but keep saying you don't have time, you need to plan better! All it takes is a little planning, willpower, and MOTIVATION! If you want it bad enough, youcanfind the time.  

Everyone is busy, but sometimes you just have to get creative to accomplish your goals.  If that means that you need to get up 20 minutes earlier to fit in a quick routine in the morning, or carve out 30-45 minutes in your work schedule a few times a week to get a workout done during the day then so be it.

With the burst of warmer weather coming it's been exciting to think about getting outside again, but it also makes me think about how so many people become sedentary during the cold winter months including kids. Being sedentary is one of the worst things you can do for your body.  It can be defined as any waking behavior characterized by a low energy expenditure while in a sitting or reclining posture. Many people, especially those who work in an office can find themselves sitting for more than 12 hours per day!
